I have long admired the work of Dayna Thacker. I was fortunate to know her during my time at SCAD and also took classes from her husband, printmaker Rich Gere. She is an artist after my own heart, however the found objects in her work are handled with much more precision and and care than I could ever generate. This exquisiteness paired with her thoughtful and storied content combine to intrigue me every time I see her work. Here is a sampling from several series of Dayna's work. You can see them in their entirety on her website. xo
